What Archers is

Archers is one of the free games inside Vaults Games, at vaults.lol/dashboard/games. It is a 3D archery duel between two players standing across a countryside field. You take turns shooting arrows at each other, and the first player to land three direct hits wins the match.

Arrows fly with real gravity, so you aim above your target and let the arrow arc down onto them.

Wind matters

Every round has wind, shown by the white flags on the field and the wind reading on the screen. The flags flip direction and wave harder or droop depending on how strong the wind is.

The wind re-randomizes every round, anywhere from a light breeze to a strong push in either direction. That means the same shot never works twice: an angle and power that hit last round will miss as soon as the wind shifts, so you have to read the flags before every shot.

How to play

Hold your shot button to draw the bow. The longer you hold, the more power the shot gets, and you adjust your aim while you draw. Release to fire.

Online, both players use the left mouse button: hold to draw, drag to aim, release to shoot. On the same device, Player 1 aims with W and S and holds the left mouse button, while Player 2 aims with the arrow keys and holds the spacebar.

Same device and online rooms

You can play two ways. Local mode is two people sharing one device, taking turns on the same screen. Online mode gives you a short room code you send to a friend, and they join from their own device.

Online matches sync in real time: you see your opponent's aim and their arrow the moment they shoot.

Hits are checked on the server

Every shot is simulated on the server with the same physics you see on screen, so hits cannot be faked by the client. If the server says the arrow hit, it hit.

XP and progression

Online matches pay XP into the same pool as every other Vaults game: 150 XP for a win and 50 XP for a loss, subject to the usual minimum match length and anti-farming limits. Local matches on a shared device pay no XP, since there is no way to verify who actually played.

Your wins and match count are saved to your account and show on the Progression page next to your other games.
