How to password protect your Vaults page

Lifetime members can lock their vault behind a password so only people with the password can see the page.

What password protection does

Password protect page turns your vault into a private page. Anyone who opens vaults.lol/yourname sees a single password box and nothing else. Your name, avatar, bio, links, socials, music, background and blocks are not loaded, not hidden with a layer on top, and not sitting in the page waiting to be revealed.

That also covers anything that normally shows before your page does. Splash screens, enter screens and sensitive content warnings do not appear until the password is accepted.

It also covers your extra pages

If you use multiple pages, the password protects all of them. Page two, page three and every deep link like vaults.lol/yourname/3 ask for the same password. There is no side door into a page further down.

Why it cannot be bypassed

The password is checked on our servers, not in your visitor's browser. Your page content is only sent after the server confirms the password, so there is nothing in the page source, in the browser console or in the network tab to read, delete or edit.

The password itself is stored hashed. Nobody, including us, can read it back out, and repeated guesses from the same page are rate limited.

How to turn it on

Open Customize in your dashboard, scroll to Other customization and switch on Password protect page. A box opens straight away where you type the password twice and confirm it.

You can change the password later with the Set password or Change password button under the toggle. Turning the toggle off removes the password and makes your page public again right away.

Which plan do I need

Password protect page is a Lifetime feature. Lifetime is a one time payment of 6.99 EUR and Supporter includes everything Lifetime has. Free accounts see the lock icon on the toggle and get an upgrade prompt instead.

Things worth knowing

Share the password only with people you want on your page, because anyone who has it can open the page. There is no per person access and no way to see who used the password.

A protected page is not listed for search engines while the password is on, and visits are still counted once a visitor unlocks the page.
