What arrived in update 9.0

Update 9.0 brings new ways to arrange your profile, share your channels and make your music part of the page. Float, channel widgets, synced karaoke, Favorites and interactive White Cats and Red Cats join upgraded reactive tilt, music controls and badge backgrounds.

This article covers the additions and upgrades. Watch the announcement trailer at the bottom to see them together.

New: Float layout

Float is a compact, centered layout with your avatar, display name and badges together at the upper left, your bio centered, and views, location, likes and joined date grouped below toward the left. Your music player sits separately underneath. Equipped badges sit beside your display name, with partner badges and your player level following them.

The Float boxes setting lets you frame your identity, widgets and blocks individually while keeping location and views unboxed. Images, galleries, FAQs and polls can have their own surfaces, with restrained sizes that keep the page comfortable to browse. You choose what to add rather than starting with prefilled widgets.

Float is marked Default LIB in the layout picker, meaning default link in bio. New accounts start with Float; existing accounts keep their chosen layout. You can still switch to any of the other free layouts.

Upgraded: Reactive tilt

Reactive tilt now follows the mouse across the page with smoother, eased movement, rather than reacting only while the pointer is over the profile. Moving through the space between your profile and music player keeps the motion going.

On Float, the detached music player tilts together with the profile. Your selected entrance animation also plays alongside the individual box and card entrances when a visitor enters.

New: Favorites

Favorites is a block for showing the artwork you love in a compact grid: 4 columns on desktop, so 8 items form 2 rows, and 2 columns on phones. Artwork and titles stay together so visitors can see what you have picked.

Cards arrive in a staggered fade-and-scale sequence with a soft text reveal. Hovering gently zooms the artwork.

New: Channel widgets

The Social widgets tab in Customize now includes Channel widgets. Add up to 6 cards with a channel picture, name, stats and a button linking to the channel. On desktop, they sit 2 per row, so 4 widgets make a 2×2 arrangement. On phones, they stack into a single column.

Supported links include YouTube, TikTok, Twitch, SoundCloud and GitHub. Pasting a link can fill in available channel details; you can also enter or adjust them yourself. Counts are a snapshot from when you paste the link, not a live counter, and some platforms may not share every detail. Transparent PNG pictures keep their shape and transparency.

Upgraded: Music player and volume controls

The music player has a round cover image on the left, previous, play/pause and next controls, elapsed time, track duration and a seek bar. The detached player on Float stays part of the profile's overall movement.

Seeking and volume now use custom sliders with a consistent appearance across browsers. The separate top-left volume control uses the same slider styling, so both places feel like part of the same player.

New: Synced karaoke lyrics

Add synced LRC lyrics to a track in Audio to show the words in time with your music. Karaoke is optional and works across layouts, not just Float.

The lyrics editor recommends https://lrclib.net/. Find your song, press Copy as on its page, choose Synced Lyrics (LRC), then return to Vaults and paste the lyrics into Audio. This guidance is available in the dashboard languages too.

Upgraded: Badge presentation

The optional badge background now uses a lighter, see-through tint and a soft outline instead of a dark backing. It is available across layouts, while Float keeps your equipped badges beside your display name.

Producer, Introvert and Photographer also have redrawn marks with more recognizable designs: studio headphones and a sound wave, a quiet hooded reader, and a detailed camera.

New and upgraded: White Cats and Red Cats

White Cats adds a small animated pixel cat that chases the visitor's mouse in different directions. When the pointer stops, the cat settles, rests and eventually falls asleep. Move again and it follows.

Red Cats now uses the same cursor-following behavior with red fur. Choose either effect in Customize to add a playful companion to your page.

More customization and fewer interruptions

Entrance Splash Screen is now free and recommended for every account. New accounts start with it enabled, while existing accounts keep their settings. An optional Countdown to Enter can run for up to 60 seconds before visitors can enter.

Profile Library brings videos, images and music suggestions together, with a Music tab linking to Pixabay genres. Background Saturation gives you another way to tune your page, and grouped customization controls keep extra choices tucked away until you need them.

Settings now includes Disable pop ups for optional notices and celebrations. Essential account messages, 2FA, first-time setup and seasonal gifts remain. The Voice feedback survey is available through Badges, and feature invitations use a smaller corner notice.

Developer log posts now support direct videos with normal playback controls, including important announcements. You can pause, seek and adjust volume while watching an update.

Where to try the update

Open Customize to choose Float, add channel widgets, set up karaoke, change badge backgrounds or try the cursor cats. Open Profile Library for music suggestions and Settings to manage optional popups. Earlier releases are covered in the update 7.0 and update 8.0 articles linked below.
