Why 2FA matters on Vaults
Vaults does not collect email addresses, which is great for privacy but also means there is no email reset path. Two factor authentication is the safety net. Without it, your password is the only thing protecting your account.
Turn it on
Open Settings from the dashboard, scroll to the two factor section, and tap Set up two factor. Scan the QR code with any authenticator app, Google Authenticator, Authy, 1Password, Bitwarden, anything that supports TOTP.
Enter the six digit code your app shows to confirm. You're done.
Save your backup
When you enable 2FA you'll see a recovery secret. Save it somewhere safe. If you ever lose your authenticator, that secret is how you get back in.
