How to change your username on Vaults
Usernames can't be edited. The safe path is: upgrade first, then make a new account, or delete the old one first.
Short answer
You cannot change your username on Vaults.lol. The username you signed up with is permanent for that account. To use a different handle you either (a) upgrade to Lifetime or Supporter first and then create a new account with the new handle, or (b) delete your current account from Settings and then sign up again with the new handle. There is no in-app rename button on purpose.
Why it was removed
Username renames were the single biggest source of broken links, broken share cards, wrong analytics, cache issues and stolen-handle disputes. Removing the feature makes every vaults.lol/yourname URL a stable, permanent identifier for the account that owns it.
Option B, free path (delete first)
If you don't want to upgrade, open Settings, scroll to Delete account and delete this account first. Wait a minute, then sign up a fresh account with the new handle. This is important because Vaults restricts a second free account that signs up from the same IP as an existing free account (the 'IP hoarding' lock). Deleting the old one first avoids that restriction entirely.
What NOT to do
Do NOT sign up a second free account while your first free account still exists. The new account will hit the IP hoarding lock and be restricted until one of the accounts on the IP goes premium. That's not a bug, it's the anti-spam system.
About your old URL
vaults.lol/oldname stops resolving to you the moment the old account is deleted or its handle stops existing. Update your Instagram bio, TikTok bio, YouTube description and anywhere else you shared the link before you delete.
