Trim MP4 videos for free
Trim an MP4 by selecting start and end times in the 100% free Vaults video studio. Your file is processed locally, not uploaded.
Short answer
Trim an MP4 by selecting start and end times in the 100% free Vaults video studio. Your file is processed locally, not uploaded.
Choose your clip
Open Tools, select Video studio, then select your video and preview it. Enter Start in seconds and End in seconds. For example, Start 2 and End 6 export a 4-second clip. Choose MP4 or WebM, press Export video and Download.
What the trim changes
The video is re-encoded rather than simply hiding the beginning and end. Resolution and compression settings affect quality. Keep the selected section within the source duration. Backgrounds usually work better as short loops.
Free and local, with practical limits
All these tools are 100% free. Video exports run in your browser and do not upload your file. The first video export loads about 31 MB of the converter onto your device, so the page itself still uses some bandwidth. Exporting takes time and memory, especially on phones. Use files up to 100 MB and clips up to 120 seconds; ping-pong selections are limited to 20 seconds. There is no automatic upload or profile change.
