How to add a video background using a URL
Use any YouTube or Vimeo video as a silent looping background.

Grab the video URL
Open the YouTube or Vimeo video you want, copy the URL from the address bar. A standard youtube.com/watch URL works. Short links like youtu.be also work.
Paste it into Vaults
In Customize, set Background type to Video and paste the URL into the field. Hit save. The video plays muted, looping, with all player chrome hidden.
Make it look right
Use the Video Opacity slider to soften the background so your text stays readable on top. Pick something around 0.6 to 0.8 if your video is busy.
Why URL embeds instead of upload
Vaults uses URL embeds for video instead of uploads so the product can stay free forever. There are no bandwidth or storage costs to absorb.
