How to check if a bio link username is taken
How to check whether the username you want is free on Vaults.lol, and what to do when it is already taken.
Check it on the landing page
Type the name you want into the claim box on vaults.lol. It tells you straight away whether the handle is free. There is no separate checker tool to install and nothing to sign up for first.
If the name is taken
Someone already owns it, or it is a reserved word used by the site itself. Try a short variation, add an underscore, or drop a vowel. Short names go fastest, so claim early even if you are not ready to build the page yet.
For-sale usernames
Some rare handles are listed on the username marketplace. If you try to claim one of those, you will see the listing instead of an error. Buying it transfers the handle to your account.
Can you change it later
No. Usernames are permanent on the account they were created with, so pick one you are happy to keep. If you really need a different handle, read the change username guide first, since creating a second free account while the first still exists can get it restricted.
