Profile picture effects on Vaults.lol

A profile picture effect is an animation that surrounds your avatar on your public page. It moves around the picture itself rather than being a background effect, so it draws the eye straight to you.

Two effects are free on every account, including an orbit and a pulse. The more detailed set comes with Lifetime, including butterflies that actually flap their wings and fly their own paths, a comet, falling petals, aurora rings and drifting stardust.

Locked effects show a lock instead of pretending to be available. Selecting one opens the upgrade page rather than giving a temporary preview.

Open Customize and pick your effect from the avatar section. The live preview shows it immediately, and it works on every profile layout.

If you turn on the setting that hides your profile picture, the effect is switched off automatically. There is nothing for it to orbit, so it never floats on its own in the middle of your page.

If your device is set to reduce motion, the effects calm down or stop instead of animating at full speed. Your profile stays readable for everyone.
