Vaults.lol is a free, fully customizable link in bio page for anyone who needs a single address to point people at. Gamers, artists, students, streamers, small businesses, photographers, Discord communities and people who just got tired of pasting five links into a chat. This page explains where it came from, how it works, and the rules we hold ourselves to.
Where it started
Vaults.lol was built by Crispy, an independent developer from Sweden, after one too many evenings spent looking at link in bio tools that all had the same problem. The free tools were plain and locked half their settings behind a monthly subscription. The customizable ones were fun but built around credit systems, invite codes and grinding for cosmetics. The polished ones were venture funded, which usually means the pricing you sign up on is not the pricing you will be on in two years.
The idea was simple and slightly stubborn: make the customizable version, give the customization away, and charge once for the extras instead of every month. No credits, no grinding, no invite gate, no subscription creeping onto your card. If the product is good enough, people will pay five euros once because they want to, not because a feature they already use got taken away.
What Vaults.lol actually is
Every account gets an address at vaults.lol/yourname. Behind that address is a page you control completely: backgrounds, gradients, video, music, fonts, colours, layout, blocks, badges, social icons, effects, cursors, an optional welcome screen, and multiple pages if you want to separate your work from your personal links. Analytics come with every plan, free, including profile views, per link clicks, referring sites, device split and a thirty day timeline.
There is also a private chat system that has nothing to do with your public page. Rooms live in the dashboard, they are invite only by a six character key, and messages travel browser to browser over encrypted WebRTC. Nothing is written to a database, so when the last tab closes, the room is gone.
Free forever, and how that is possible
Most link in bio platforms need a subscription because they host every avatar, background, video and song on their own hardware. Bandwidth is the bill that never stops growing, so the pricing page has to keep up with it. Vaults.lol is built the other way around. Media is embedded by URL, so the heavy files stream from wherever you already keep them straight to your visitor, never through us. Pages lazy load, so a visitor downloads only the page they opened. The only media we store ourselves is your avatar.
That single architectural decision is why the free tier can stay genuinely free, why a profile with a looping video background can cost us less per view than a plain text page on a competitor, and why the Lifetime unlock can be a one time five euro payment instead of a recurring charge. It is not a growth hack or a launch promotion. It is just a cheaper product to run.
The philosophy
Customization is the product, not the upsell. Backgrounds, layouts, colours, music, blocks and analytics are free. The paid tiers add cosmetics, effects and a verified mark, not basic control over your own page.
Collect as little as possible. Vaults.lol accounts are a username, a password and optional two factor authentication. We never ask for an email address or a phone number. Data we never collect is data that can never leak, never get sold and never end up in a marketing list. The trade off is real and we say it plainly: without contact details there is no password reset, so save your recovery secret.
Pay once or never. There are no subscriptions anywhere on the platform. Lifetime is five euros once. Supporter is nine ninety nine once and includes everything Lifetime has. Premium handles are one time licences sold directly by us. If you never pay anything, your page still works, forever.
Ship constantly, in public. Updates go out most weeks and every one of them is posted to the changelog. Users can read exactly what changed and when, including the unglamorous fixes.
A human answers. Support is a person, not a ticket queue or a bot. Most messages are answered within a few hours, on Telegram or through the support page.
How decisions get made
Feature requests come from the community and get built when they make pages better for the people using them, not because a competitor shipped something similar. When two options exist, we pick the one that keeps the platform cheap to run, because a cheap platform is a platform that stays online. When a feature would require collecting more personal data than it is worth, it does not get built. When something is slow, it gets fixed before the next cosmetic goes out, since most visitors land on a profile from a phone on mobile data and a page nobody waits for is a page nobody reads.
Longevity
Vaults.lol is not a startup with a runway and a board asking about margins. It is an independent project with running costs low enough that it can keep going quietly for years without needing to squeeze anyone. That is the honest answer to the only question that really matters when you put your name on a page: will the link still work next year. We have built it so the answer stays yes.
